Haircut

For a couple of years I’ve wondered in the back of my mind what I’d look like if I shaved my head. I had it done once when I was about 7, and I expect the results to be equally as bad now. But there’s only one way to confirm my suspicion. Today, far away from the anguished cries of my mother and the laughter of everyone else, I find out…

The need for empirical evidence in the male members of your family is certainly, well, hereditary.

Fortunately only you and your Papa seem to express that gene through flirtations with extremely short or no hair on your head. ;-)

But why stop there? I hear full body waxes are quick and painless. Why not give it a try?

Perhaps it is a venture you and your Dad could take on together? All in the name of empirical evidence of course.

Whatever friend said that was probably trying to play a practical joke on you.

Just as well you didn’t do it here in India as Hindus do that when the father in a family dies. It’s ususally the oldest son who does it as part of his duty before lighting the pyre where his father has been laid to rest…

Obviously Susan hasn’t seen photos of Jolin when a wee lad wanting to follow closely in his father’s footsteps and having his head shaved as well! How come this has been kept from her?! You never know - perhaps this ‘flirtation’ may reappear in the future! Or even the 3 Warren ‘boys’ should have a total exfoliation bonding session ;-)

Only Jessica of the siblings seems to have escaped - phew! L

Oops - depilation session, not exfoliation! L

Well, what a dirty trick to play on me, waiting until you are out of Delhi! We could have gone off to the Khan Market and bonded together at the barber’s. Well, maybe I’ll go there in my lunch hour today …..

You’ll be bald soon enough — I don’t know why you are trying to speed up the process! ;-)

So that when it happens I can say it was intentional, and no-one will suspect. Will you join me in this pre-emptive strike?
