To those new here, welcome. And to those making the trip far across the internet from my old site, welcome back! I’m more than a little pleased at the results of the hard work that have gone into this site. Bits and pieces will continue to change as I work out the kinks and kick the tires. But while I do the hard work, please make yourself at home. Settle in for a read, visit the gallery, and listen to some music. Subscribe to this site or check back weekly. I’ll be keeping things fresh.

I like how the feeds icon in my location bar gives me an option — in English — to subscribe to all posts, music, photos, or the blog. Good attention to detail! I get so irritated by sites that just list ‘Atom 2.0’ and ‘RSS 1.x’. How do I know whether I want Atom or RSS? Why should I care? Do they offer different features? What exactly am I subscribing to anyway?
Now you need to make friends with a designer who can make you a nice favicon. ^_^

*Oooo.* I also see that you’re using SmartyPants, too. My double dashes were turned into em-dashes and my quotes into curly quotes. Very good!

I’m glad you appreciate the details! And yeah, I still have no idea what the difference is between the various RSS and Atom versions, even after trying to read up on them. Bugs me as well when people include multiple formats of the same feed. Maybe I should start up a “design pet peeves” set of blog entries.

Hmm, I think your comments have rather lost me — my grey cells aren’t able to decipher RSS and Atom. Nevertheless you are doing a great job, apart from making me feel quite the computer illiterate Mum!
