Summer Arrives

Summer exploded on New York over the weekend. It was like waking up to a new city. I was so overwhelmed in my desire to take advantage of the sun and heat that I crashed early every night. As a result, Sunday morning I woke up with 10 hours of sleep by 7:30. Feeling incredibly refreshed, I went up to my roof to enjoy breakfast and a book. The amazing part about the roof is how quiet it is. Despite being surrounded by buildings in the middle of a dense city, when I closed my eyes I felt like I could be on a beach. There was nothing but sun and breeze and silence.

    Hi, Nigel-
Looks like you’ve been silent. I hope everything is OK. Send a smoke signal when you can.

Yes, I’ve been too silent. I have plans to completely overhaul this blog this winter. Until I get to it, I haven’t been feeling too inspired to post anything. But it will happen.
