What happens when the Doves announce a new album? Who, you say? The band that released one the best records of the past 10 years - The Last Broadcast? The band that puts out music with such attention to detail that I still get lost exploring it with headphones after years of repeated listening? That band?
Surprisingly enough, I get extremely impatient to hear any and all new music I can lay my hands on. Which is why I bring you this, the title track to their forthcoming album, Kingdom of Rust. I don’t know what I’m going to do while I wait for its April 6th release date to roll around. It’s going to be a tough couple months. Damn you, lack of instant gratification.

Wow, great song. Based on your high recommendation and the song, I’ve pre-ordered the album. You can also download the track ‘Jetstream’ from their website, so that will at least give you one more track until April.

Thanks for the heads up — that track has been a great running song for me the past couple weeks. Remind me to show you some of their other stuff if I haven’t already. They make truly stunning music. It always seems to me that they don’t write songs so much as finely craft them.
